As we get close to the holidays – I get busier with the sessions. As my other colleagues wrap up their Wedding seasons, I head full blast into the Family / Holiday Season, one of my favorite parts of the year. Next to photographing Seniors, Families are my favorite. Going out and having fun for an hour (and I’ve been known to take 2 or 3 hours on a session if we are having lots of fun!) and capturing that moment when a child 3 laughs out loud because you said that funny thing that just got him good in the laughter spot.
This amazing family session had us up at the Red Rocks with Hope and her family – you might recognize the little boy – he was my first child photo session known as “Batman in the Pumpkin Patch”. I took photos of him in his Halloween costume at 10 months old, my real first photo session that wasn’t my family. I then took photos of him again just when he started walking and a few days later his mom would tell me she’s pregnant with his now younger sister. Watching him grow, and the last time I saw him was a year ago and he wouldn’t talk at all to this round where I got “CHEESE!” and the biggest smile from him (thanks Hope for the prepping!!) His sister, who I met for the first time was a little nervous of me, but I’m sure we’ll become great friends too!
We had fun going all over the Red Rocks – and here are a few of my favorites from the session:
Thank you Hope & Wayne – the children are just so gorgeous and you all were so much fun!
