Today’s featured senior is Legend High School Megan T. She’s younger sister to another former senior I have photographed, 2014 Legend HS Senior – Daniel. When she and I talked about her senior pictures, she wanted the mountains in her session and we even went a road trip as she showed me her favorite location and then I showed her mine that covers the mountains and it gave us a chance to get to know each other.
The day of her session I also got the chance to push out of my comfort zone (and her’s) and most everyone knows my love for water that I have to get someone in the water or near it, that she laid down in the water and got fully covered wet! There is planning involved like clothes that is ok to get wet and when we would get this shot, being the last few images of her session so she could go home afterwards and lighting… which after getting an amazing sunset shot we were racing back to the river and begging for light to get the river photo… work in progress!
A busy girl she is, working this summer, was in volleyball, in student government, and already planning for college with visits to schools. When asked what was her favorite part about the session, I am excited that seniors like the indoor session, something new I have added back into the sessions – “The indoor session!! I felt like a princess. Oh and the water… but it was super cold!!!” (again, pre-thinking, keeping the senior warm after the session!)
Check out Megan’s session – and yes, she too got an ‘old school’ shot!
