Only a few more 2018 Seniors to feature on Susan B. and then the class of 2019 begins! This week’s featured Senior is 2018 Legend HS Senior Emma. Her mom was the winning bid at the Annual Legend Gala Silent Auction. This event is for all who support the many sports teams and programs, the Band and Activities Department. They have a themed event that includes a Silent Auction with items provided by each team/activity, live entertainment, dancing and a full dinner. It’s a fun event and I love being able to donate a session that when bidded on will go to support the Legend Titan Band program.

Emma, who participated in the Legend Titan Marching Band wanted a totally different session. She said “No barns. No fields.” I like this girl, she put me on my toes and I had to find something different in locations that would say “EMMA”. The Studio I am at has other locations that I can rent hourly with and with some imaginative description – say a rooftop (just featured last week with the 2018 Prom Session) she was in. What I wasn’t expecting the day of her session was fires that were out of control up in the mountains that was drifting smoke over Denver and our skyline of the city was just not there! But we got some great images up on the roof, out in the parking lot, on the loading dock and then I suggested to her that we go down to the art alley in the RiNo area that has graffiti walls. Her outfit that included a leather jacket and what I call ‘waffle stomper’ boots, this area would be perfect for Emma for senior pictures.

We arrive to my favorite ally and look for wall art that catches Emma’s interest which is so cool, because each senior that I have taken there finds something different that they like and sometimes the walls have been totally painted new so it’s a fresh look, this area gives each senior a whole new take! My favorite image of her is walking in the ally with her outfit she just looks natural… her favorite is standing between a wall art that has a butterfly and a skull… take what you want from it but I see it as the good and bad of Emma and we all have a good and bad side!

Check out Emma’s amazing session –
